Auction

Auction

The auction is the traditional way wool is sold in Australia. Brokers present wool lots to buyers in a competitive environment, often weekly. It gives access to a wide pool of buyers and can drive strong prices, but also comes with market volatility. Many growers use a reserve price to protect against selling too low.
