David Mahilraj is an experienced wool industry specialist, broker and agricultural project leader with more than a decade of hands on experience in the Australian pastoral sector.
David has dedicated his career to helping livestock producers maximise value, promoting the quality of Australian Merino wool, and supporting international genetic exchange programs.
David’s career has included extensive work across Australia’s agricultural sector. As a District Wool Manager, he has worked closely with growers, analysed global wool market trends and provided practical marketing advice.

From clip preparation and wool sales to regional ram sales such as the Waratah Poll Merino Stud Sale and Monaro White Wool Sale, David has built his career around practical industry experience and close relationships with growers.
Beyond traditional wool broking, David has also contributed to international livestock and breeding initiatives, including the transfer of elite Australian Merino genetics to breeding programs in Mongolia.
These projects help bring Australian breeding expertise to international producers seeking to improve flock resilience, wool quality and meat production.
David is also committed to supporting the next generation of agricultural professionals. He has mentored young people in the industry and led regional teams at the National Merino Challenge, helping pass on practical skills in wool classing, stock handling and livestock assessment.
